This Little Pretty...stayed at home...

...whilst wishing Loving Sister in Australia 'bon voyage', as well as my nephew & my Mum.  So that's 3 gone, back to the '4 wise Kings'.  It's been so lovely having a house full of visitors, although my head's been spinning with the amount of 'stuff' that gets left lying around on every available surface at every available opportunity (my inner Monica shining through), but that aside I've been in my element with all the family throughout Christmas & New Year. Especially having LSIA as my supercharged shopping buddy.

Now I don't know about you, but I am not normally a very sociable shopper.  I prefer to shop on my own, despite otherwise being a lover of any social opportunity.  I'm a smash & grab type, I know what I want, I know where I want to go into, and I know that I can't possibly spare time for eating.....or lingering....or 'just take a peek'ing.  But us two sisters are perfectly synchronised when it comes to shopping.

So I'm solo again (sniff) but I did make sure I tasked LSIA with one last challenge.  Posing for photos in Heathrow without looking like a total tool.  She always gets her travelling outfits down to a tee, with cashmere layering, flat yet elegant shoes, and sturdy, chic AND sizeable handluggage:

Trilby hat by Marks & Spencer
Scarf by Burberry
Leather jacket by Aurelio Costarella
Vest by Country Road
Cashmere waterfall cardigan by Husk
Trompe L'oeil trousers by Zara
Bracelets by Gucci and Tiffany
Large cream snakeskin tote by Husk
Cross-body bag by Mulberry
Ponyskin leopard-print shoes by SEED Femme

  1. I do love the Mulberry camera bag and it's a lovely colour. I can't help thinking it will take your sis a while to get through customs with all the jewellery and hardware on the bags though!

    1. I see what you mean Sue lol. Just make sure you don't get stuck behind her in the queue if you ever recognise her at the airport !!!

She was torn between the bag in an orange suede, or this olive green 'birdsnest' colour, and I figured the orange suede would look worn too quickly.

My hubby always struggles at airports, not sure if it's his silver tooth setting the x-ray machines off hahaha!

Hope all's well with you, and thanks for your comment :-)

Au contraire Sue ... made it through all security checks with minimum fuss (required to remove silver bamboo cuff & ball bracelet only and bag hardware not an issue), all with the ease of a gentle summer breeze.

    1. Oh yes I can just see you 'sashaying' through security!

Not like me with 2 nippers, prams, bags, medicines in clear bags, hubby with x-ray-upsetting silver tooth etc. etc.

Miss you already, but thanks for the comment (about time too!)
      xx

    1. Yes, indeed :-( However, just like you've said about your sis-in-law, and your overseas best friend, my sis just 'gets' me, and she knows when I need her (if not in person, at least on internet or phone) so we're close in spirit, if not in body.

And there's always my blog friends to keep me occupied and buoyant, if all else fails :-)

      Erika xx
ps. thanks for stopping by, and for your comment x
