Swoonsome lace espadrilles by Valentino at Net-A-Porter (£295). Black now sold out much to my distress ("you snooze, you lose" as Mr P often reminds me), but the Chantilly colour still very much available.

More practical, yet just as fabulous - black Galia espadrilles by Christian Louboutin £245 (also in yellow, turquoise or red).

No thanks to Longchamp for being closed (????) but a huge thanks to Mr P. for my unexpected birthday treats. He's obviously been reading my blog, and somehow knew I'd find a bag suitable for Miami travel & beach-lounging in Marc by Marc Jacobs:

Phew!...battle of the birthday (& Easter) bulge...

The last couple of weeks have been chokablok with birthdays, Easter, family visits, days out....I need a break. Oh wait, I'm having a break in less than 3 weeks! Miami here I come!

This Little Pretty cried wee wee wee...ambrosial discovery...

Have I been hiding under a rock, only to have recently discovered Bimba & Lola?

Regardless, I am so thrilled to have taken the time to browse the Spanish label's extensive website. There are beauties galore, all at purse-friendly prices, and with exciting sale discounts too. What's more, the subtle designer influences are extremely fascinating, from Vivienne Westwood, to Prada, Marni, Anthropologie & YSL (sorry, slapped face, Saint Laurent. Give me time to catch up!).
